High Way 6 – High Way of Silences
The Alta Via delle Dolomiti No. 6, also known as the “Alta Via dei Silenzi,” because it runs along long abandoned stretches and fascinating lonely environments, runs along a route of about 180 km that can be covered in 11 stages and connects Sappada with Vittorio Veneto.
This itinerary crosses the provinces of Udine, Pordenone, Belluno, and Treviso and reaches Vittorio Veneto through the Rinaldo, Tèrze and Clap, Monti di Sàuris, Tiàrfin, Crìdola, Spalti and Monfalconi, Duranno-Cima dei Preti, and Col Nudo-Cavallo groups. At an elevation of 2,000 m above sea level, the Alta Via is recommended for experienced and trained hikers: there are, in fact, some dangerous but well-equipped points.
