Come arrivare

Access to the Willy Jervis Refuge is mainly on foot, but there are several routes to choose from:

  1. From Villanova: This is the most common and direct route. From the hamlet of Villanova (1,225 metres), which can be reached by car from Bobbio Pellice, walk along a well-marked path. The walk takes about 1.5-2 hours and covers an altitude difference of about 500 metres.
  2. Alternative paths: There are several alternative paths to the hut, including longer and more scenic routes through forests and valleys, ideal for experienced hikers who wish to explore the area in more depth.

To reach Villanova, the common starting point for the hike to the Willy Jervis Refuge, you can follow these directions:

From Turin to Villanova
  1. By car:

    • Route: From Turin, take the A55 motorway towards Pinerolo. At the Pinerolo exit, continue on the SR23 towards Sestriere until you reach the village of Luserna San Giovanni. From here, follow signs for Torre Pellice and then Bobbio Pellice.
    • From Bobbio Pellice to Villanova: Once in Bobbio Pellice, follow signs for Villanova. The road is paved and well signposted, but becomes narrower as you approach Villanova. Parking is available at Villanova, where the path to the Willy Jervis refuge begins.
  2. By Public Transport

    • Train: From Torino Porta Nuova take a regional train to Pinerolo.
    • Bus: From Pinerolo station, take a bus to Torre Pellice. From Torre Pellice, take a bus or arrange a taxi to Bobbio Pellice and then to Villanova. Local buses may have limited timetables, especially at weekends and on public holidays, so it is advisable to check timetables in advance.
